Opinions & Your Imposter Syndrome

Posted by

Even Jesus, the Son of God, had to contend with the opinions of others.

John 6:42 says,

“Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”

So don’t be surprised if you hear…

“Isn’t this ______, the person we went to school with or worked with or grew up with?  Why do they think they’re so special?”

However, these people should be a very small percentage of the people in your life.

As you strive to establish yourself the best thing you can ever do is to seek opportunities where people don’t know you.

That way, people will judge you by your strengths and accomplishments not your past.
